Computed Frequency Response
The graph below shows sound pressure level (SPL) as a function of frequency from 10 to 1000 Hz. As you can see, the enclosure response falls off only 7 Db at 40 Hz. This allows a bass guitar low E note to be played at 118 Db, taking a 3 Db volume compression into effect. The enclosure is a bass reflex (vented) design with the ports tuned to 40 Hz.
